In the Name of the Risen One,

God of our ancestors,
in a world where chaos and ruin are as close as the wind,
where fires rage out of control in Fort McMurray destroying homes, businesses, and livelihoods;
Help us to find strength and courage from the stories of those who took refuge in you during their times of trial and despair.

For those looking to contribute financially, there is a way through our denominational family:

In The Tree of Life & Journey we celebrate Christian Family Sunday in our respective sanctuaries. This is the last formal programing for the Youth and Young Children’s Worship stream, next week is our intergenerational Pentecost and Affirm Anniversary service (in the Journey Sanctuary).

This week Young People’s Worship at St. Mary’s Road United Church has Nursery, Tots, Elementary Kids, Jr. Cafe, and Sr. Youth Group. We’re encouraging children in our young people’s worship to bring a non-perishable food item as their “offering.” Food items donated go to Harvest, West Broadway Community Ministry, and the SMRUC Emergency Food.

Worship starts at 10:15 and all are welcome!  Or come a bit earlier for Fair Trade Coffee.

We look forward to seeing you!

Shalom, Salaam, Shanti, Béke, Peace,

Debbie & Philip
