This Week @SMRUC

Greetings of a more relaxed holiday pace, season of festivals, and time spent enjoying the awesomeness of Creation.

In our worship series of “Fruits of the Spirit” we focus this week on “Peace”.  What does peace mean to you?  What does it mean to have peace?  Is peace a state of being or a verb?  Is peace possible in our time?

See what the members of this school had to say about peace:

We’d love to hear back from you about your reflections on peace. Feel free to comment on our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SMRUC/

Summer worship takes place in the Journey Space at the church beginning at 10:15am during July and August.  While we don’t put on coffee hour during the summer you are welcome to bring your own to our casual worship.

Our garden club has iris plants available both prior to, and following the worship service.  Bring a plastic bag with you if you’d like to take some home.  Donations (towards more plants for the garden) are welcome but not required.

This Saturday, July 9th, marks the first ever Steinbach Pride Parade.  A group from SMRUC will be in attendance if you’d like to join them.  They will gather at EA Friesen Park – adjacent to Jake Epp Library, 255 Elmdale, Steinbach – at 10:30am.  For those that would like to cheer the parade on it begins at 11am.

However you are marking time this summer season we hope that it is filled with opportunities to relax, reflect, and reconnect.

With blessings,

Debbie & Philip (who is on vacation during the month of July)
