This week @ SMRUC

Greetings as we turn another calendar page.

Welcome to August – that time of transition.  Cooler nights, ripening gardens, soaking up the sun-drenched days and the last bits of holidays before schedules take over again.

We continue our summer series on Fruits of the Spirit with this week’s focus on “Faithfulness”.  How do we live out our faith and beliefs?  Who are we, as Christians, called to be in the world?  Where does God call us to express our faith in words and actions?

In “Compassion at the Dinner Table” James Forbes discusses the faith lessons he learned around the family dinner table when he was younger.

We’d love to hear your thoughts and feelings about “Compassion at the Dinner Table”.  You can comment over on our facebook page @SMRUC.

And because we know that faithfulness is also about being able to look at the absurd in a new way:

We look forward as well to sharing in your reflections during our worship and communion service – this Sunday at 10:30am.  We hope to see you there.

With peace and blessings,
Phil and Debbie
