September 13 – The Circle of the Church Year
The three great times of the Church year: Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. Are introduced. There are colours that represent each time of the year, including green for the season of Creation that we are currently in.
Wondering…
I wonder which one of these colours you like best?
I wonder which colour is the most important?
I wonder why the Church tells time with colours?
September 20 – Creation
In the story of Creation, we begin to trace God’s elusive presence with the God’s People. The seven days of creation are illustrated on a series of seven cards laid out one-by-one.
Wondering…
I wonder which of these days you like best?
I wonder which day is the most important?
I wonder if we can leave out any one of these days and still have all we need?
September 27 – The Holy Family
The Holy Family, the story of Jesus’ birth, holds significance for the entire cycle of the Church year. The Holy Family is the matrix – the Latin work for womb – out of which new life comes. Christ’s incarnation changes everything. Most especially, it changes the way we understand ourselves, each other, the Creator and the created world around us.
Wondering…
I wonder what part of the Holy Family you like best?
I wonder what part of the Holy Family is the most important?
I wonder if there is any of the Holy Family we can leave out and still have all we need?
