A Lenten Journey: Going out into the Wild and letting the Wild in too!
SMRUC is excited to have Bob Haverluck join us for a special event, where he will share his creative gifts and wisdom. Accompanied by St. Mary’s Road’s own Chuck Kroeker with music, we will be offering two illustrated dramatic readings from Bob’s newest publication, “When God was Flesh and Wild: stories in defense of the Earth.”
Saturday, March 12, 9:15 am – 3 pm, with lunch & coffee provided
What to expect:
Think radio stories: the re-telling of scriptural stories with wild imagination often employs humour to paint a powerful message
Think art exhibit: the vivid representation of prophetic witness which requires the observer to engage it
Think worship: desire to give thanks to our Creator interwoven through it
Paul Campbell, Bev Ward, Celoris Miller, Barb Parnell-Best & Phil Read will help facilitate the event. There is no cost but a free will donation can be given to help pay for the refreshments.
Please RSVP so we can plan our meal and refreshments.
Check out the poster.
